Introduction
The centre was established in 1966 and is now a thriving British Horse Society & Association of British Riding Schools Riding Centre accommodating riding lessons for all levels from beginners to advanced children & adult clients on our well trained ponies & horses.
We also train students for British Horse Society Stages 1,11,111 &1V plus NVQ levels 2 &3 courses and hold competitions both unaffiliated and affiliated competitors in all disciplines.
The centre is situated on the A57. 1.7 miles from junction 7 of the M62. If you wish to come and view the facilities before you ride. We have a team of friendly qualified instructors waiting to help, advise and teach you. We have excellent up to date facilities which include indoor and outdoor riding arenas set in 127 acres of permanent grassland, which for the more experienced rider is available for outdoor riding. Lessons can also be taken over our well built cross country & show jumping courses.
Training Courses
Earn while you train. We are a British Horse Society Examination Centre and training courses here are ongoing with trainees enjoying a weekly training allowance as well as quality training towards NVQ Levels 1.2 & 3 also British Horse Society Stages 1.11.111 &1V plus Preliminary Teaching & Intermediate Teaching Tests. All Training is carried out here at the centre by friendly, motivated, qualified instructors, on top quality well trained horses
This is a unique opportunity to train at one of the North West's Top Training, NVQ Assessment and Examination centres. The following training is offered:
- Training in horse care. Feeding & Nutrition, grooming, stable care, equipment, and minor ailments plus veterinary nursing care.
- Communication and organisational skills.
- Riding and competition work which includes a chance to compete.
- Training to teach riding to enable you to become a riding instructor.
- Additional training will be given subject to training needs.
